Based in Vancouver, BC, Canada; Left Spine Down (also known by the acronym LSD) is a band that plays a style of music they refer to as iPunk fusing the sounds of Industrial, Metal, Punk and Drum & Bass.[1] The band features Jeremy Inkel and Jared Slingerland of Industrial music legends Front Line Assembly and Denyss McKnight former bass player of Vancouver punk music veterans The Black Halos. The band self released their first album entitled the Smartbomb EP in June 2007[2] and it was met with a very frenzied reception from both fans and friends of the band. The EP was produced by Front Line Assembly/Noise Unit’s Chris Peterson and is currently for sale on the bands website and on iTunes.[3] The band has been very active in the Vancouver, BC live music scene over the last few years sharing the stage with The Birthday Massacre, Combichrist, DOA, Genitorturers, Chemlab and Front Line Assembly, to name a few. The band successfully mounted their first tour of the Canadian Prairies in August 2007 and were welcomed back by all venues night of. The band is personally managed by Mark Sommer of Synthetic Entertainment; one of Western Canada’s leading industrial/ebm/goth rock booking agents and concert promoters.
