Lawrence "Lon" Jacobs (born 4 May 1955) has been both the Senior Executive Vice President and Group General Counsel of News Corporation since January 2005. He succeeded Arthur Siskind for that position when Siskind announced his retirement in October 2004. He joined News Corp. in 1996 as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. Before working at News Corporation, Jacobs was a lawyer for Squadron Ellenoff, which in 2002 merged with Hogan & Hartson. Jacobs has been a member of the Bar of the State of New York since 1982.
