"Laura" is a 1945 popular song composed by David Raksin, with lyrics written by Johnny Mercer. It has since become a jazz standard. The best known versions are by Dick Haymes, Woody Herman [1] and Julie London (included on her album Julie Is Her Name) It was adapted from the theme of the 1944 film, Laura.
