History

The KG800 was originally released as a Cyon-brand phone, labeled as the "Chocolate" and popularized in South Korea. Since then, the phone has been converted from a CDMA phone into a GSM phone, has undergone slight physical modifications, and more substantial specification changes before being released globally. A more modified version of the CDMA phone was released in North America as the LG Chocolate (VX8500).

LG's software package also includes the LG Internet Cube, LG PC Sync and LG software to recognize it for Modem use, as well as the driver for phone recognition. Some users have reported a problem while transferring ".mp3" files from SE-W700i, this will show unsupported file format.[citation needed]

Controversy
