Kingsley College is a Wesleyan school of theology located in Melbourne, Australia. The college was opened by Kingsley Ridgway in 1948. It was originally known as the Wesleyan Methodist Bible College of Australia; in 1974, its name was changed to honour its founder. The college is run by the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia. It offers ministerial training to people from a variety of denominational and national backgrounds. Kingsley is also known for its training in Christian Counseling. It has had a long-going relationship with the practice of Christian Counseling in Melbourne and has sought to develop a training program for Christian Counselors which majors on an integration of excellence in counseling practice with Christian Theology and concerns. Kingsley is a member of the South Pacific Association of Bible Colleges and is a Member Institution of the Sydney College of Divinity. The current principal is Rev. Peter Dobson. From 2008 Kingsley College will become part of Tabor Victoria and will become the northern campus of this college.
