Tae Kwon Do intertwined with the element of fire |
Kim Jae Hoon is a fictional character from the SNK fighting game Garou: Mark of the Wolves, part of the Fatal Fury series. A practitioner of Tae Kwon Do, he resembles his father (in personality much more so than in physical appearance) more than his elder brother Dong Hwan.
History
The more studious and reserved of the brothers Kim, Jae Hoon always chides his brother for his laziness, arrogance, and inability to hold down a steady girlfriend, though he nonetheless respects Dong Hwan's abilities. Jae Hoon also shares his father's love for his family, many of his gameplay techniques and inputs, and a strong sense of justice, to the point where he even mimics his father's battlecry against those who he perceives as evil. Jae Hoon seems a tad overzealous, however, as he accuses Gato of being evil despite his father not doing this in KOF 2003 or KOF XI.
Gameplay
Jae Hoon's moves are similar to his father, only they have a flame sfx with them. Some of his moves have a slow start-up but can be in his favour is his opponent isn't careful.
Trivia
- As seen in various fanarts, Jae Hoon would be friend of Seo Yong Song, another Kim's student from Buriki One.
- Jae Hoon's S. Power Hou'ou-kyaku super will have a phoenix appear when he finishes the super (a phoenix would sometimes appear in certain games where Kim can perform his Hou'ou-kyaku super).
Jae Hoon's stage
- Jae Hoon's stage is at a marketplace. Some students from their dojo are observing the fight.
- If Dong Hwan is not one of the 2 characters playing in Jae's stage, he will appear in the background. He and the students will cheer if Jae is attacking, and frown if he is damaged or attacked.
- If Dong is fighting Jae, the students in black will cheer for Dong, while the ones in white will cheer for Jae. In the same sense, if Dong is fighting against anyone else, the students will cheer or frown at him.
- A Kim Sue Il look-a-like (or perhaps it is him as a cameo) appears in his stage at the far right of the screen.
