Criticism
Since the start of her acting career, Chiu often received negative reactions when performing on-screen. In his review of the movie [4], Nestor Torre of the Philippine Daily Inquirer criticized Chiu's performance in I've Fallen for You, stating: "Kim’s basic problem is her inability to relax, to go beyond surface energy and enthusiasm. She tries so hard as a performer that, when she smiles, it comes off as a grimace. And her speaking voice needs a lot of lessons to modulate." In relation, I've Fallen for You didn't turn out as expected at the box-office grossing only P35.1 million to date [5].
