Kenneth C. Davis is the author of a series of adult educational books. Born and educated in public schools in Mount Vernon, New York, Davis attended Concordia College, Bronxville in New York, and Fordham University at Lincoln Center, New York City. He lives in New York City with his wife and two children. The books explore both basic and lesser-known facts about their subjects. The titles of the books were initially inspired directly by lyrics from Sam Cooke's song Wonderful World, whose verses begin, "Don't know much about [history, geography, etc.]"
