Newton's contract was terminated following allegations he assaulted former girlfriend, Brooke Satchwell.[8] She was replaced in May by New Zealand comedian Cal Wilson. In 2007, Kate Ritchie was nominated for and won the Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television. Ritchie is a co-host, with Grant Denyer, in series two of It Takes Two.[9] Ritchie is currently dating pro-skateboarder Corbin Harris, who is 4 years her junior.[10] The couple met in February at fellow castmate, Ada Nicodemou's wedding to Chrys Xipolitas.[9] She previously was involved in a long-term relationship with rugby league footballer Chris Walker.[11] In September 2007, Ritchie announced that she would be leaving Home and Away in mid-December, when she is scheduled to film her final scene.[12] She will last appear on Australian screens as Sally Fletcher in April 2008.
