Jutta Bauer is the author of the book Opas Engel, (Grandpa's Angel). Jutta Hamburg was born in Hamburg, Germany in the year 1955. She currently resides in Germany. Jutta Bauer is also an illustrator. After studying at the Technical College of Design in Hamburg, she worked as a children’s book illustrator as well as cartoonist for the women’s magazine Brigitte. Her picture book Schreimutter was awarded the German Youth Literature Award ( Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis )in 2001.
