Juliet Butler is a fictional character from the Artemis Fowl series by Irish fiction author Eoin Colfer. She is the younger sister of Domovoi Butler, Artemis' bodyguard. She was born on January 16, 1986, in Ireland. She appears in the first book (simply titled Artemis Fowl) as a 16-year-old bodyguard in training. Later, she also, for a short time, assumes the position of Artemis' bodyguard. She is a key character in invading Jon Spiro's building where Artemis is being kept. In the third book, there are many references to her attitude and personality. At the end of the third book, she leaves for America to work on her career as a professional wrestler, using the name "Jade Princess" and currently touring with a Mexican wrestler group. She chooses this name because she braids a jade ring into her hair and uses it to knock opponents unconscious. It has been hinted by Butler that Artemis may have a crush on her. This is also hinted in the first book in the series, when Juliet calls him "Arty":
"Artemis frowned, but only slightly. For reasons that he couldn't quite fathom, he didn't mind terribly when Juliet called him by the pet name his mother had for him."
In the first book Juliet plays a small role in the kidnapping, mostly serving to watch Holly Short in her cell. Additionally, it is noted that Juliet is very popular among the local boys, a fact which displeases her older brother, Butler. Contrastingly, in the third book, due to Butler's injuries, she plays a larger role, helping infiltrate Spiro's highly protected penthouse. She is mentioned only briefly in the second, fourth and fifth books. It is unclear whether Juliet ever regained her memories of the fairies. In the third book she mentions to Artemis that they should just let go of these memories, in stead of trying to find a way to keep them, suggesting that she doesn't want to remember them. Further evidence to the fact that she never regained her memory is that on the disc that Artemis gave Mulch, there were only two folders, "Artemis" and "Butler", neither of which were for Juliet. However, it could be suggested that, like Artemis and Butler, she still has a subconscious knowledge of the fairies. Shortly before the events of Book 5, Juliet lends Butler a silver bracelet, saying that it would ward off evil spirits.
