Judy Norton Taylor is an American actress. She was born in Santa Monica, California, on January 29 Her most famous role was that of "Mary Ellen" in the series The Waltons, a part she first played in the 1971 movie The Homecoming: A Christmas Story and subsequently during the entire run of the series (1972-1981). During the run of the show, Judy Norton married, and until the end of the series, was billed as Judy Norton-Taylor. When the series ended she appeared in the "Waltons" films made during the late 1980s and into the 1990s. During the later Waltons movies, however, she reverted to using her original name of Judy Norton. She is a Scientologist. She has one son, Devin. She is also a writer and director having over 40 original shows produced in the US and Canada. She is also a singer and has headlined and guest starred in numerous concerts.
