Jubilee is an Alternative Rock/Indie Rock band from Los Angeles, California, which formed in 2007. The band consists of Aaron North (Nine Inch Nails, The Icarus Line) on guitar and vocals, Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age, Wires On Fire) on bass and vocals, Evan Weiss (Wires on Fire) on guitar and backing vocals, and Loren Shane Humphrey (The Willowz) on drums. According to their press release, Jubilee's sound is "something like The Replacements, The Stone Roses, Neil Young, Blur, Jane's Addiction, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and The Verve, all sliced ‘n diced together quite nicely."[1] Jubilee is currently signed to Buddyhead Records and is set to release the single “Rebel Hiss” from their forthcoming debut album on January 21, 2008 on 7 inch Vinyl, CD and a limited edition tour 7 inch vinyl.[2] Three of the songs from their upcoming "Rebel Hiss" single, including "Rebel Hiss", "Fuzz Are Down" and "The Fool on the Pool".[3] Aaron North provides vocals on "Rebel Hiss" and "Fuzz Are Down", while Michael Shuman provides vocals on "The Fool on the Pill".
