John McClemont Ireland, QC, (born November 23 1950), is an Australian barrister. He lives in Picton, New South Wales with his wife, Christine, and two children. The eldest son of British migrants, Mr Ireland attended Oxford University, graduating in 1973 with Honours in Laws. Mr Ireland specialises in intellectual property cases, and has represented many significant Australian corporations and individuals at all levels of judiciary jurisdiction, working from Wentworth Chambers Ground Floor in the CBD of Sydney, Australia. Mr Ireland has seven children by three marriages, aged from 5 years to 27 years: Louise, Fiona, James, Toby, Nicholas, Barnaby and Oliver.
