Jeremy Francis John Bowen (born 6 February 1960, in Cardiff) is a British journalist and television presenter. His secondary education was at Cardiff High School, followed by University College London (BA, History) and the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC, he joined the BBC in 1984 and has been a war correspondent for much of his career, reporting from more than 70 different countries, predominantly in the Middle East and Bosnia-Herzegovina during the civil war there. During his tenure as BBC's Rome correspondent, he covered the death of Pope John Paul II). Soon thereafter, he became their Middle Eastern Editor. Bowen also presented Breakfast, the BBC news programme every morning for two years (2000–2002) with Sophie Raworth. Criticism
Bowen has been accused of biased Anti-Israel reporting on a number of occasions. [1], [2] For example, CAMERA claims that on Bowen's articles on the Six-Day War he "unquestioningly accepts the assertions of Arab officials that their leaders really didn't mean it when they threatened to eliminate the Jewish state."
