Jeff Chandler was a placekicker for the University of Florida Gators football team. He is UF's all-time leading scorer, with 368 points. Chandler joined the Gator program as a walk-on in 1997, kicking one extra point and later being granted a redshirt for that season. He was rewarded with a scholarship prior to the 1999 season and eventually graduated with a degree in telecommunications after eclipsing most school kicking records. He went 67 of 80 on field goals in his career and 167 of 180 on PATs. Chandler was the Gators' all-time leader in field goals made, first in PATs made and second in field goal percentage (83.8 percent). He ranks second in Southeastern Conference history in scoring with 368 points, fourth in league history in field goals made and second in field goal percentage. His career long field goal of 54 yards came against Georgia on Oct. 28, 2000. Chandler was a semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award honoring the nation's top collegiate placekicker in 1999 and 2000; was a second-team All-America selection in 1999; a First Team All-SEC selection in 1999 and 2001; and was chosen UF's MVP for the 1999 season.

Pro Football Career

Chandler also was a National Football League kicker for the San Francisco 49ers (2002-2003), Carolina Panthers (2004) and Washington Redskins (2004). He has since then become a golf caddy for a long time friend. He played in 13 games during his four-year NFL career, kicking 19 of 27 field goals (70.4 percent), with a career long of 49 yards.

High School Years

Chandler attended Mandarin High School where he played kicker and wide receiver (Jacksonville, FL) and was a standout in soccer, tennis, and as a senior football player.

He was born Jeffrey Robin Chandler on June 18, 1979 in Jacksonville, Florida to parents Donald and Pamela Chandler.
