Jasper or Jesper (Nordic form) is a male's given name. It is a Dutch and German variant of the Persian Casper. According to the Biblical tradition Casper (Persian 'treasurer' ) is the name of one of the "Three Kings," who presented Christ gifts. Casper gave gold.
