Newsome Panthers
Jason played junior rugby for the Newsome Panthers in Huddersfield.
Bradford Bulls
Jason only signed for the Bulls last year from the Newsome Panthers. Strong running and with a tremendous turn of pace, he impressed all the coaching staff with his ability and his attitude. Jason has made rapid strides at the club and has been given a place in the first team squad this season. Boss Steve McNamara will hand the talented centre a full-time squad place for 2007. McNamara feels he will benefit from maximum exposure to the professional ranks and said: "Jason Crookes has huge potential..."He is only 16 but we're bringing him into the full-time squad to try and progress him as quickly as we can. "He is a tough, quick player and another young prospect that we feel will benefit from this sort of environment,and progress into a super league player.
Call up
Crookes was in squad to face Huddersfield Giants and Harlequins in in 2007 due to a number of injuries to the squad.
