Jarabacoa is a municipality of the La Vega province in the Dominican Republic. As of the 2002 census the municipality had 56,931 inhabitants, 27.370 living in its seat, the city of Jarabacoa, and 29,561 in its rural districts.[1] Jarabacoa is known for its steady 70F to 90F degrees temperature all year around. The visitors have baptized Jarabacoa as "The Everlasting Spring City". Jarabacoa sits about 600 m above sea level. One of the main attractions is the mountain tourism in which tourist get to tour the mountains and interact with nature. Jarabacoa has two large rivers, Jimenoa and Yaque del Norte rivers, that merge in the Confluencia to becoming Yaque del Norte, one of the largest river in the contry. Jarabacoa's Carnaval is one of the most famous in the country.
