Jamie Rivera is a pop singer from the Philippines. She was born Mary Jane C. Mendoza on August 29. She graduated from University of Santo Tomas Rivera's 2001 album Seasons was discovered to have violated U.S. copyright law when a listener in the United States, who had purchased the album through an authorised source, discovered a cover of the 1994 Kathy Troccoli and Bill Montvilo song "My Life Is in Your Hands" on the album. The song had been altered and was deemed to have violated copyright law as the alterations were made without permission of the BMG Music and Mr. Montvilo, the copyright holders of the song.
