James Reed (born February 3, 1977 in Saginaw, Michigan) is an American football nose tackle for the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs. The New York Jets drafted him in the seventh round of the 2001 NFL Draft out of Iowa State University. At Iowa State he helped get the Cyclones there first bowl win ever. He played under legendary coach Dan McCarney.
On April 17, 2007, Reed was re-signed to the Chiefs with a three-year contract. [1]
College career
Reed attended Iowa State University, and was a three-year starter and a three-time All-Big 12 conference selection.
