Career
Dudley worked with various members of the McMahon family backstage, which began in the Capital Wrestling Corporation, where he worked for Jess McMahon. He then worked in the WWWF, where he became friends with Vincent J. McMahon. Vince Sr. placed Dudley in charge of Turner Arena in Washington, DC, making Dudley the first African-American in the country to hold such a position.[1] Dudley would later gain notoriety for running to the ring waving a towel before many of Bobo Brazil’s matches.[1]
