Jamar Nesbit

Jamar Kendric Nesbit (born December 17, 1976 in Heidelberg, Germany) is an American football offensive lineman in the NFL who currently plays for the New Orleans Saints. He previously played for the Carolina Panthers and Jacksonville Jaguars. Nesbit played college football at the University of South Carolina. NFL CAREER – An experienced, versatile veteran, Nesbit thrived in 2006 when given the opportunity to settle into a starting role. He opened all 16 games at left guard and teamed with tackle Jammal Brown to give New Orleans a solid duo on the left side. Entering his ninth season, Nesbit has started 71 of 117 contests in his career and is known as both a physical player at the point of attack and technician in pass protection. A cerebral player who has the versatility to play every position on the offensive line, prior to last season Nesbit had seen time with the Saints at both guard positions, at right tackle and as a reserve at center. The former undrafted free agent was a consistent starter for the Carolina Panthers from 1999-2002, opening 45 of 53 games before signing with Jacksonville in 2003.
