Jack Bagley (b. Sept. 26, 1958) is a television and radio news reporter in LaGrange, Georgia, and the author of two science fiction novels. In 2000, he wrote Apprentice Cruise, followed in 2001 by The Things We Leave Behind. Both novels, published by Fine Line Publishing, relate the exploits of Ryan Lee, and are two of a planned series of six novels which detail Lee's career in a future Interstellar Fleet. Both books are available from http://www.lulu.com/coloneljack in hardcover editions as of January 2008. Born in Waukegan, Illinois, as Wando Shane Bagley, Jack moved to LaGrange in 1970. He served briefly in the United States Air Force after high school, and became a radio broadcaster in 1976 at station WLAG-AM. He moved to WTRP-AM in 1977 and remained there until 2002. During that time, he also became a middle-school history teacher. In 2002, Jack joined the staff of WCAG-TV, Channel 33, in LaGrange as evening news anchorman. From 1981 to 1996, he was an officer in the Civil Air Patrol, leaving the organization with the rank of lieutenant colonel. [Blog site http://www.xanga.com/coloneljack]
