Jô (born João Alves de Assis Silva on March 20, 1987 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian football (soccer) striker, playing for CSKA Moscow.

Corinthians
Jo played for Corinthians during the years of 2003-2005. He made 85 appearances scoring 13 goals. He became a fan favorite, but was later transferred to CSKA Moscow in 2005.
CSKA Moscow
Jô has proven to be a skillful, strong and pacey striker and has proceeded to score 14 goals in his first 18 appearances for the Russian club, securing his status as a fan-favourite. He also impressed in the UEFA Champions League scoring two goals in the matches against F.C. Internazionale Milano.
International career
Being still young he received his first call-up to the Seleção in May 2007 to be in the squad to play against England later in the year and made his international debut in friendly against Turkey, in June 2007. On 21 December 2007, Manchester United are close in signing him.
