- For the moon of Saturn named after Járnsaxa, see Jarnsaxa.
In Norse mythology, Járnsaxa is a giantess. According to Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda, she was Thor's lover. By him she was the mother of Magni. According to the Hyndluljóð, Járnsaxa is the name of one of the mothers of Heimdall. Heimdall's nine mothers were the daughters of Aegir and Rán. The name Járnsaxa means "iron cutlass".
