For other uses of the term Ivy League see Ivy League (disambiguation) Ivy League Records is a record label based in Sydney, Australia. Associated with the music management company Winterman & Goldstein and Ivy League Music publishing, Ivy League is the creation of Cameron Emerson-Elliot (now in Youth Group), Peter Lusty and James Roden (now in The City Lights) of The John Reed Club in 1997. Three partners from management company Winterman & Goldstein, Pete Lusty (John Reed Club), Andy Kelly (Glide) and Andy Cassell (formerly from Youth Group) then took up the label with a vengeance in 1998. Ivy League's first significant success was with Youth Group. Ivy League subsequently reached prominence with both Josh Pyke and the Red Riders on the label and via the sister company - Winterman & Golstein management - with The Vines, Jet and The Sleepy Jackson. In addition to those mentioned, Australian bands currently associated with Ivy League are The City Lights, 78 Saab, Neon and The Silents. In March, 2006 Ivy League announced that they had entered into an equity relationship with Michael Gudinski, a well-known figure in the Australian music scene. Ivy League's general manager is Chris Maund and the label is distributed by Warner Music Australia.
