Ismael Blanco (born January 19 1983 in Santa Elena) is an Argentine football striker. He currently plays for AEK Athens FC in Greece[2].His nickname is 'Zorro'. Blanco started his career with Colón de Santa Fe in 2002. He then played for Club Libertad in Paraguay in 2005 before returning to Argentina to play for Olimpo de Bahía Blanca. In 2007 he rejoined Colón[3]. As of 10 August 2007 Blanco joined AEK Athens FC, his desire to display his football talent to European teams and the opportunity to play on the same squad as Brazilian legend Rivaldo where stated as his main reasons for making the move to Greece. He also got his first cap against Salzburg on the 20th of september 2007 in the Uefa Cup. On the 26th of September against Veroia, after putting AEK in front, Blanco revealed a Zorro mask from his sock and drew a big Z in the air.
