International Financial Statistics (IFS) is the database maintained by the International Monetary Fund. It contains approximately 32000 time series on more than 200 countries with data from 1948 to current times. IFS provides the data on variables related to international and domestic finance including the data on exchange rates, international liquidity, international banking, money and banking, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, and national accounts. It has become a popular data source for the empirical research in economics.
