Insomniac is singer Enrique Iglesias' eighth studio album and fourth English album. The album contains production by John Shanks, Kristian Lundin, Sean Garrett, Anders Bagge, Mark Taylor, Stargate , and Maratone. It also contains his first collaboration with a rapper (Lil' Wayne) as well as a cover of indie band Ringside's Tired of Being Sorry. This album is said to be different from his prior albums, incorporating a more contemporary pop style than his previous albums as well as the aforementioned hip hop collaboration the album uses elements of R&B and Latin. It was released on June 12, 2007 in the USA and Worldwide June 11, 2007 by Universal Music Group. Insomniac reached #71 in the UK end of year chart, selling around 225,ooo copies in 2007.

Many stores in the US offered exclusive tracks available to download after purchase. Among them the new track "Baby Hold On" which was available when bought at Target. The European pressings of the album also include the bonus tracks "Hero" (Thunderpuss Edit) and "Not in Love" ft Kelis (Armand Van Helden Club Mix), though the Asian pressings only included the former as a bonus track.
