Insomnia is an album by rapcore band Hed PE. The album was released on July 17, 2007. The final tracklisting was revealed via entry in CDUniverse's catalog in early June. The band has stated that thrash metal bands such as Slayer were the biggest influence during the writing process. The album is somewhat of a concept album that takes listeners on a journey of self realization and discovery of the social situation on the planet. It debuted at #138 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 5,400.
