The I band is the range of radio frequencies from 8 GHz to 10 GHz in the electromagnetic spectrum. This is equal to wave lengths between 3.75 cm and 3 cm. The I band is in the SHF range of the radio spectrum. The I band lies in the X band of the older classification system.

Uses

Marine navigation radars often operate with I band frequencies.
