Hornbeck Offshore Services NYSE: HOS is a publicly traded corporation headquartered in Covington, Louisiana providing offshore drilling and support services in the Gulf of Mexico and other areas. Their offshore supply vessels and Anchor Handling Vessels are from the latest generation, and the corporation recently issued new shares for expansion. They suffered no damage from recent hurricanes. HOS has been dogged by controversy recently. Accusations of securities fraud were alleged in several lawsuits (still pending as of May 2007) 1. The company's computer system was also hacked in early 2007, leading up to a raucous shareholder's meeting.
