Horizon Power is a corporation owned by the Government of Western Australia. It was split from the vertical monopoly, Western Power, in 2006 during reforms to the state's energy sector. It is a retailer and distributor of power to households in rural and regional Western Australia. It purchases electricity from private-sector generators. Its Perth directors are Alan Dundas formerly of the Western Mining Corporation, and Brendan Hammond.
