Home Finance Company, or HFC Bank, is a major bank of Ghana. HFC was created in 1990 as a shell company within Merchant Bank (Ghana). In 1994 HFC became a publicly traded company and in 1995 was listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange. Its stock is a component of the exchange's GSE All-Share Index. According to the bank's website, the bank issued the Ghana Stock Exchange's first-ever corporate bond, in 1996. [1]
