Holland is a city in Pemiscot County, Missouri, United States. The population was 246 at the 2000 census.
Geography
Holland is located at (36.057399, -89.870467)GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.4 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 246 people, 96 households, and 71 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,424.3 people per square mile (558.7/km²). There were 112 housing units at an average density of 648.5/sq mi (254.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 93.90% White, 2.44% African American, 0.41% Native American, 3.25% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.66% of the population. There were 96 households out of which 31.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.2% were married couples living together, 10.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.0% were non-families. 24.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 2.90. In the town the population was spread out with 25.2% under the age of 18, 9.3% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 21.5% from 45 to 64, and 17.1% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 106.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 104.4 males. The median income for a household in the town was $35,278, and the median income for a family was $36,875. Males had a median income of $35,417 versus $20,000 for females. The per capita income for the town was $12,524. About 9.8% of families and 12.7% of the population were below the poverty line, including 7.3% of those under the age of eighteen and 21.7% of those sixty five or over.
