Hokkaido Air System Co., Ltd. (株式会社北海道エアシステム Kabushiki-gaisha Hokkaidō Ea Shisutemu?), or HAC, is an airline based in Chitose, Hokkaidō, Japan. It operates scheduled domestic services in Hokkaidō.[1] Its main base is Okadama Airport in Sapporo, although its actual headquarters are at New Chitose Airport outside the city.

History

The airline was established in 1997 and started operations in 1998. It was founded as a joint venture and is owned by Japan Airlines Domestic (51%) and Hokkaidō regional government (49%).[1] Air Hokkaido ceased operations on 31 March 2006 and its sole route, Hakodate-Okushiri, was taken over the next day by Hokkaido Air System[2]
