Hogan's Inn at four corners is an upscale restaurant in King City, Ontario, Canada. The building is of particular cultural importance to the town, and indeed the Township of King, having served numerous functions throughout the town's history.

History

Hogan's Inn was built in 1851 by Isaac Dennis as a hotel, and was given as a wedding present to his daughter Patricia and her husband John Hogan in 1855. In 1901, the Hogan's retired, and sold the hotel to Armstrong. The Armstrong family subsequently converted the hotel to a private residence in 1937. It wasn't until 1975 that the building acquired its current function, when Gail Sharkey re-designed the building as an upscale restaurant. In 1996, Hogan's Inn opened the Upper Canada Wine Bar, and in 2000, it was sold to Robert Rose.

Features

Hogan's Inn consists of three separate facilities: the Dining Room, the Polo Lounge, and the Hunt Pub. The Dining Room refers to three separate elegant dining areas, each featuring a fireplace. It consistently ranks among the top fine dining restaurants of Ontario. The Polo Lounge provides a more casual dining environment, and features a summertime Patio on the corner, an outdoor dining area set within a garden. The Hunt Pub, as the name suggests, is an English-style pub featuring micro-brewed beers. On weekends, various live entertainment is offered, focusing on local musicians.
