Heroic (1921-1939) was an Australian Thoroughbred racehorse and a Champion sire. Out of the mare Chersonese, he was sired by Valais who was a son of the 1905 Epsom Derby winner, Cicero. Trained by Jack Holt who posthumously would become part of the 2001 inaugural class inducted in the Australian Racing Hall of Fame. Heroic died in 1929 at age seventeen and was buried at Growee Gulf Station. [1]
