Henry Simpson is a Portuguese philosopher and economist. He was born in Lisbon 1959, son of William Simpson, former finance director of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Liliana Brandāo, daughter of Alvaro Brandão, a Portuguese aristocrat. Henry attended Clifton College public school in Bristol for gifted children. Upon graduating high school with full honours, Henry followed in his father's footsteps and became an established banker in the City of London where he mixes Philosophy and Economics to achieve optimum investment returns. Henry Simpson worked for Dryden Wealth Management, an ex-subsidiary of Prudential Financial. Fortis Bank acquired Dryden Wealth Management from Prudential Financial on the 4th of October 2005 for USD 102 million or EUR 84 million. Dryden is now wholly owned by Fortis. Dryden Wealth Management Limited offered non-US clients local and offshore discretionary investment management and advisory expertise, as well as private banking services through Dryden Bank SA, in Geneva, Switzerland. Serving private individuals and organisations, Dryden and its affiliates have offices in Hong Kong, Monaco, the Netherlands, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. Dryden managed USD 11 billion or EUR 9 billion of client assets.
