Health Administration Press, or HAP, is a division of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

History

HAP was founded in 1972, at the University of Michigan, with support from the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. Originally located in a small office, the press was later purchased by ACHE and relocated to Chicago.[1][2]

Publications

Health Administration Press publishes books and journals on all aspects of health services management.[2] The full range includes textbooks used in undergraduate and graduate courses,[3] and two journals, the Journal of Healthcare Management and Frontiers of Health Services Management.[1][2]

Imprints

HAP currently produces four imprints. These are the Executive Essentials Series, the AUPHA/HAP Series, the AcademyHealth/HAP Series, and the Health Administration Press Series.
