Hanne Krogh, born on January 24 1956 in Haugesund, and baptised Hanne Krogh Sundbø, is among the most popular Norwegian singers. She recorded her first album at the age of just 14, in the year 1970. Already the following year she won the Norwegian Eurovision Song Contest selection, the Melodi Grand Prix, with the sweet pop-ballad Lykken er... (Happiness Is...). She didn't have much success in the European final however, but 14 years later she won the Eurovision Song Contest with Elisabeth Andreasson, whom together formed the duo Bobbysocks. She also took part for Norway as a part of the quartet Just4Fun in the Eurovision Song Contest 1991.

Shining celebrities

Hanne Krogh, in relationship with Elisabeth Andreassen, the Bobbysocks, also performed live in Danish capital Copenhagen, autumn 2005, during the 50th Eurovision anniversary, the Congratulations show. Another memorable and much appreciated appearance of the duo was when they performed their winning melody at the city hall plaza (Rådhusplassen [1]) of Oslo during the Eurovision concert in the Pride Village of EuroPride 2005. Other much-applauded performances were done by Nanne, Selma, Baccara and Nora Brockstedt.

A wide collection

Hanne Krogh has a strong love and devotion for two things; the Christmas season and children, thus about half of her CD and LP records have had those themes. To date, Hanne Krogh has released 19 LP and CD albums, including her best of compilation Hanne Krogh: 40 beste from 1994, and just as many singles. Besides she has released several LP and CD albums as well as singles, with the two groups she has been part of - Bobbysocks and Just4Fun.
