Hajj Amin Elahi (Aminollah Nemati, March 2, 1919 - March 23, 2004) was a Kurdish musician and a prolific player of the tanbur who composed many new musical modes[1]. He was born in the city of Jeyhounabad, Persia and his grandfather was the kurdish mystic Hajj Nematollah. He was Kurdish/Persian and the first son of Nur Ali Elahi and Khunoom Shawase. Hajj Amin moved to Lyon, France in 1982 and died on March 23, 2004 at the age of 85[2].

His music

Hajj Amin played the Kurdish/Persian tanbur and had a unique style, the "Hajj-Amini". He was one of the first people to record the ancient tones of the tanbur.
