Gilbert Public Schools (GPS), previously known as Gilbert Unified School District (GUSD), is a school district based in Gilbert, Arizona, United States. GPS covers most of Gilbert and parts of Mesa and Chandler.

Some highlights within this district include, twenty-six elementary schools which accommodate grades kindergarten through sixth and various High Schools, including Mesquite High School or the GPS Technology and Leadership Academy. According to Gilbert Public School website "The District helps lead the State in academic scores as well as in a variety of extracurricular programs, including athletics and the fine arts."[1]

The academy focuses on the development of critical thinking skills through a rigorous, Classical-style curriculum. Members of the faculty provide a unique and challenging environment, integrating leading edge technology with the Socratic method of instruction.

The Gilbert Classical Academy is a fully equipped One to One Computing school. Each student receives a laptop computer upon admission for use in the classroom and at home to further enhance their learning environment and prepare them for real-life experiences.

The rigorous six-year curriculum includes core courses in math, science, English, social studies, modern languages, Latin, physical education, music and the arts.

Involvement in community service projects, extra-curricular activities, and 1A athletics are be offered to provide academy students with a well-rounded experience. The mascot of GCA is the SPARTANS, and the school colors are Purple and Gold.
