Gerald Thomas (b. 10 December 1920 in Hull, Yorkshire - 9 November 1993) was an English film director, born in Hull. Despite a fairly varied early career, Thomas is almost exclusively remembered as the director of some 31 Carry On films, the innuendo-laden British comedy series, beginning with Carry On Sergeant in 1958. His brother, Ralph Thomas, was also a film director.
