The Gaming Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania (GASP) is a non-profit organization that formed in order to promote gaming in all its forms. GASP was founded in 1999 and has been growing steadily ever since. The mainstay of GASP is the monthly Games Days, where members can gather for 12 continuous hours of board gaming, card gaming, miniature wargaming, and role-playing. GASP also organizes GASPcon, a yearly gaming convention.

Games Days

Each month, GASP hosts a 12-hour gaming session for its members. These are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month, and typically run from noon until midnight. An extensive board game library is assembled each month, and anyone is free to check out and play the games present. In addition to board games, members typically bring a wide variety of miniature wargames (D&D Miniatures, Warmachine, Classic Battletech, AT-43), card games (primarily Magic:The Gathering) and role-playing games (Dungeons and Dragons and others). Attendees are encouraged to bring some snacks and/or sodas for all to use, and a group pizza order is placed around 4pm. November is the only month without a Games Day, as GASPcon takes place that month.

GASPcon

GASPcon [1] is a gaming convention held every November in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. GASPcon has been held yearly since 2000. The convention features 36 hours of gaming, including miniatures, role-playing, and board games.
