Futures is the fifth studio album by alternative rock band Jimmy Eat World. It was released on October 19, 2004. Futures was led by the successful single "Pain" followed by "Work" and the less successful "Futures" which did not receive as much airplay. The album has sold 607,000 units in the United States making it Gold Status.

Deluxe edition and bonus tracks

The CD was issued as a deluxe edition simultaneously to the conventional release, containing a bonus CD with the exact same track listing, but carrying demo versions of all songs from the album, recorded in Jimmy Eat World's home recording studio. In addition, there were several bonus tracks scattered among import and vinyl versions of the album:

"Pain" is featured in the soundtrack of the video games Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition, and Karaoke Revolution Party. "Just Tonight..." is featured in the soundtrack of the video game Burnout 3: Takedown. "Nothingwrong" is featured in the soundtrack of the video game Gran Turismo 4. "23" and "Kill" were featured in various soundtracks to One Tree Hill. "23" was also featured on the season finale of The Hills. "Futures" was played in the movie First Descent. "Pain" is to be covered by Japanese musician Kyosuke Himuro. "Pain" was also featured in an episode of Smallville.
