Francis Capra (born on April 22 1983 in New York City) is an American actor.

Biography

Capra began his acting career in 1993 with A Bronx Tale. He played the recurring character of “Weevil” Navarro on the critically acclaimed TV series Veronica Mars and had a small guest role on The O.C.. Most recently he was seen on movie screens in Crank. As a teen he starred in movies such as Kazaam and A Simple Wish. Capra has also branched out into film production. He has a production company called Take Off Productions with fellow actor De'Aundre Bonds[1]. Capra was raised in the Bronx, New York and attended public school at PS71 until the 5th grade[2]. He currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his mother and siblings, including screenwriter and film producer Chanel Capra. His father was killed in 2003. He gave this message in honour of his father: "I never knew my father and when I did, it was very briefly. He was incarcerated for most of my life and he was killed two years ago; he was shot." "I think that even though my father wasn’t there, in his death and in his memory…he has been a mentor to me in my manhood because my mom couldn’t teach me how to be a man." Capra has upwards of 18 tattoos[3], of which the most visible are dollar and cents signs at the corners of his eyes, and a crown with the word "Famiglia" on the left side of his neck. His arm tattoos include a tribute to his late father (the name Capra inside a cross surrounded by the words "Fallen Angel") the names of his younger siblings, symbols of the Muses Thalia and Melpomene, the words "Seize Cash", and the Christian phrase "The Good Must Suffer."
