Frances Day (b. December 16, 1908 in East Orange, New Jersey d. April, 1984 in Brighton, UK) was an American actress and singer who achieved great popularity in the UK in the 1930s. Day's real name was Frances Victoria Schenck. Her career began in New York City as a nightclub singer and progressed to the London musical stage.
