Florence Beaumont (died October 15, 1967, Los Angeles) is one of nine Americans known to have set themselves on fire (self-immolation) in protest of the escalating Vietnam war. She had two children. After soaking herself in gasoline, she set herself alight in front of the Federal Building, Los Angeles. She was the subject of Get Off Your Apathy!: A Biography of Florence Beaumont, Who Burned Herself Instead of Others! - Like Phony Politicians! by Thomas M. Dunphy.
